Car flips over and lands on roof in Marazion

Emergency services are called to west Cornwall after a car flipped over and landed on its roof.

A woman was trapped inside the vehicle when the crash happened in Marazion on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters used specialist equipment to cut her free and she was then checked over by paramedics.

Police were also on the scene in School Lane just after 10.30am and say the woman was not seriously injured.

"One appliance from Penzance Community Fire Station and an officer dealt with a car that had overturned trapping one female occupant. 

"The used small gear to release her into the care of ambulance personnel. 

"The crew righted the vehicle and made the scene safe. Police were also on scene."

The road was blocked but it was cleared by around 1pm.

"This was reported to us at 10.35am today [27 November].

"Single-car road traffic collision in School Lane, Marazion.

"Police, fire and ambulance attended.

"The female driver was not injured but checked over by paramedics.

"Road was blocked but clear by 1.05pm."
