This was the scene that a car went up in flames on the side of the A30 in Cornwall.

Firefighters from Hayle and Tolvaddon got the shout at around 2.40pm on Friday afternoon.

The vehicle was in a layby on the Hayle bypass, westbound from Loggans to St Erth.

Crews used hose reels to put the blaze out and the road was closed.
