A driver has been taken to hospital after multiple rush-hour crashes across Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed the casualty was injured after a collision on the A3058 at Stephen.

The road was blocked first thing on Monday morning but has since cleared.

A separate collision blocked a stretch of the A30 in west Cornwall.

Police have confirmed no-one was injured at Scorrier, despite a second crash in the queues.

Inrix Traffic and Travel said the incidents caused three-mile tailbacks, heading towards Chiverton Cross.

"A30 eastbound partially blocked. Queueing traffic for three miles due to accident at A3047 (Scorrier). Congestion to Avers roundabout. Travel time is around 20 minutes.

"Police still on scene at the accident which happened at around 07:50 in the queue for an earlier accident which was recovered.

"Traffic is diverting through Scorrier and Chacewater causing delays along the B3298 to Chacewater Hill".

That incident has since cleared, as have two others on the A3083 at White Cross and Kingston Road in Venterdon near Stoke Climsland.
