Multiple crashes block main roads in Cornwall

Multiple crashes have blocked roads across Cornwall during the evening rush hour.

A crash left a stretch of Cornwall's A30 blocked in both directions.

The collision happened at Mitchell on Tuesday afternoon.

There is no word yet on how serious it is or if anyone has been injured.

It was affecting traffic bewteen Carland Cross and Quintrell Downs during the evening rush.

Officials have now confirmed that the road has cleared.

"Road cleared and traffic returned to normal, accident cleared on A30 in both directions near The Beeches Hotel (Mitchell Turn Off).

"Affecting traffic between Carland Cross and Quintrell Downs".

Elsewhere the A390 is still blocked at Tresillian, between Truro and St Austell.

Traffic was queuing in both directions but later cleared.

"A390 in both directions blocked, queuing traffic due to accident near The Wheel Inn Pub.

"Affecting traffic between Truro and St Austell".

Both incidents had cleared on Tuesday evening.
