Bus crashes into ditch on the A39 near Truro

A driver has made it out after a bus crashed into a ditch near Truro.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to Playing Place.

It happened at the end of rush-hour on Wednesday, blocking the A39 for several hours.

Firefighters have confirmed the driver was out of the vehicle when they arrived at the scene.

In a statement given to Cornwall Live, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed no-one was injured.

“Police were notified at around 6pm last night to reports of a single-vehicle collision on the A39 at Playing Place, Truro.

“A bus had come off side of road, partially blocking road.

"The driver and a passenger were the occupants at the time and were uninjured".
