Police warning after burglaries in Newquay and Tavistock

Police have issued a warning after a series of burglaries to homes in Newquay and Tavistock.

A property on Down Road was targeted in a walk-in burglary in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Contents from a handbag were stolen between 4am and 5am.

Later that day, a property in the Cornish seaside town was targeted on Thursday evening.

Officers say a white handbag with brown leather straps was swiped from the house on Camullas Way at around 5.45pm.

Residents are being urged to keep doors and windows locked, particularly at night.
