Biker suffers 'serious injury' after crash in Truro

A biker has suffered a potentially serious back injury after a rush-hour crash on the edge of Truro.

Police say the man is being treated at the scene on Bodmin Road and will be taken to hospital.

His motorbike was caught in a collision with a car at around 7.30am, partially blocking the A39.

"Police were called at 7.30am today to Bodmin Road, Truro following reports of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle. 

"The motorcyclist is believed to have sustained a potentially serious back injury. He is being treated by ambulance and will be taken to hospital. 

"No one else is reported to be injured".

A stretch of the A39 was partially blocked in both directions, affecting traffic heading towards Carland Cross.

However, Inrix Traffic and Travel has since confirmed that the incident has cleared.
