Police issue warning over the dog missing after a crash

Published by Emma Carton at 7:36am 11th December 2019.

Police are urging anyone who spots a dog still missing after a crash on Bodmin Moor not to try to grab her.

Tilly fled from the scene after her owner was caught in a collision at Blisland.

The dachshund has been spotted several times since the incident on Monday.

However officers fear attempts to catch the pet have left her running scared.

They have also urged people only to contact the family if they have information about Tilly's whereabouts.

Bodmin Police urged anyone who has spotted Tilly to post comments on their Facebook page or get in touch with her family.

"I have spoken with a family member and unfortunately Tilly is still missing. She is believed to be somewhere between Waterloo/Carwen and Metherin areas of rural Bodmin.

"If you have any helpful info regarding Tilly's location please comment here or get in touch with Kate as described above.

"Attempts have been made to grab hold of Tilly when she has been spotted today however this has unfortunately only caused her to become more scared and she has fled again.

"If you do contact the family, please only do so if you have information that can lead to her being located.

"Negative or critical comments are not welcome or necessary under the circumstances".
