There is relief for the owner of a dog that went missing after a crash in north Cornwall.

Thousands shared the appeal after Tilly the dachshund fled the scene on Bodmin Moor.

Owner, Kate Heywood, was caught in a collision in the Blisland area on Monday.

Despite searches and several sightings, the pet was running scared until Friday.

The family has confirmed she was discovered hiding in a hedge and is now back at home!

Kate's partner email has emailed Pirate FM to thank the community, police and Drone SAR and everyone involved in the search.

"Tilly has been found safe and sound by a local resident who managed to pounce on her after spotting her in a hedge close to the village of Blisland.

"Thank you to everyone who has been keeping an eye out for her, for everyone's well wishes and advice.

"She's extremely happy to be home and is unhurt without a scratch on her.

"Thank you to Pirate FM and the Bodmin police for their help in raising awareness of Tilly's disappearance.

"Thank you to the Drone SAR for lost dogs community for all their help in this matter.

"We are all happy she is home safe and sound especially my partner Kate who has been beside herself with worry since Tilly went missing on Monday morning.

"Thank you everyone again".
