Woman charged after a 'stabbing' in Newquay

A woman has been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in Newquay.

The casualty was rushed to hospital after being treated in the street on Atlantic Road.

Police had urged anyone who saw something during the afternoon of 14th December to come forward.

They have since confirmed that a 30-year-old local woman has been charged with wounding with intent.

"Police have charged a woman following reports of an incident in Newquay on Saturday 14th December.

"30-year-old Michaela Manton of Atlantic Road, Newquay, has been charged with Section 18 wounding with intent.

"She is due to appear before Truro Magistrates Court on Monday 16th December".
