Three-vehicle crash closes A30 near Truro

A stretch of the A30 in Cornwall was left closed following a three-vehicle crash.

It happened heading towards Allet, near Truro, on Tuesday lunchtime.

The road was closed eastbound and it was affecting traffic heading up from Chiverton Cross.

Police have confirmed that they were called to the scene and there were reports of minor injuries.

"Police are at the scene of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the eastbound carriageway of the A30 at Chiverton Cross, Truro."

Devon and Cornwall Police

Traffic is still said to be slow in the area but officials have confirmed that all lanes have now reopened.

"Slow traffic due to earlier accident, three vehicles involved on A30 Eastbound between A390 (Chiverton Cross roundabout, Three Burrows) and B3284 (Allet Turn Off, Allet). 

"All lanes have been re-opened."
