Urgent 999 appeal to find missing man in west Cornwall

Police have confirmed a missing man from west Cornwall has been found after an urgent appeal.

Officers were concerned for the safety of 55-year-old Michael Winters from Goldsithney near Penzance.

They had asked witnesses to call 999, after he was last seen driving on the A30 on Wednesday lunchtime.

However, Devon and Cornwall Police and Michael's family have contacted Pirate FM to confirm he is safe and well.

"Michael Winters who was missing from Penzance has now been found safe and well.

"Thank you for your assistance".
