Cornwall now has its first EVER Starbucks drive-through.

The new branch, just off the Loggans Moor roundabout at Hayle, is the chain's most westerly outlet.

Work has been going on at the site of the old Little Chef for weeks, with around a dozen new jobs being created.

The store's charity partner, Children's Hospice South-West, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony on Friday 20th December.

Cornwall's first ever drive-through Starbucks has opened just in time for Christmas.

With a week to go until the opening, there was still some building work to be completed at the site near the West Cornwall Retail Park.

A number of delivery vans and building teams were in evidence, along with safety signs warning people to "keep out"...

“We are proud to bring the first Starbucks Drive-Thru to Cornwall and very much look forward to welcoming Hayle residents and visitors to our new store.

"Our store team is proud to support Children’s Hospice South West, a charity close to the hearts of the community which provides invaluable support to children and families in the local area".

The branch also offers free wi-fi and, as with all Stabucks', a 25p discount to all customers who bring a reusable cup when buying a drink.

The Hayle site is open from 6am until 8pm, Monday – Friday, 7am – 8pm on Saturday and 8am – 8pm on Sunday.
