Police appeal to find puppy stolen in Cornwall

Police have issued an urgent appeal to find a puppy, stolen in St Austell.

Waffle, the six-month-old labradoodle, was taken while being walked in the Belmont Road area.

His owner has told officers she was approached and threatened by a suspect carrying what she believes was a knife.

Anyone who saw something at around 7am on Monday is being urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.

"Police are appealing for information after a dog was stolen from St Austell this morning (Monday 23 December).

"A six-month-old labradoodle called Waffle was taken while being walked by his female owner in the Belmont Road area at around 7am.

"A male approached the owner and threatened her with what she believed was a knife.

"The suspect is described as being around 5ft 8in tall, was wearing a black, hooded top and scarf and spoke with a foreign accent.

"Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 0116 231219".
