"Team paged 14.31 to a dog and owner who were stuck on a beach near Lizard point.

"The dog had followed a closed footpath down to the beach whose steps were missing at the bottom and got stuck, the owner attempted to rescue the dog but also found no way back up.

"With the backup of Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue Team, and overseen by Area Commander AC11, we were able to lower a rope rescue technician to the beach to retrieve the dog followed by the owner to an anxious and concerned family.
