An urgent appeal has gone out to help a 14-week-old kitten who was attacked in Cornwall.

Little Tango was brought into Clay County Cat Care, near St Austell, with his brother Cash.

Their litter had been attacked by what vets think was a weasel or fox. Sadly three of their siblings were killed in the attack.

Tango suffered substantial damage to his eye when he arrived and he has been under treatment since.

The rescue centre is now trying to raise money to fund his emergency surgery.

"We have worked to try and save his eye but sadly now he is in pain and his eye needs to be removed ASAP.

"The damage has also caused a head tilt which we are hoping will resolve after surgery.

"Over the Christmas period Tango has been at Rock View along with four other emergencies that all need treatment costing over £2,000.

"We understand that with Christmas money is a little tight so if everyone on our page was to donate £1 it would easily cover the surgery Tango requires."
