The family of a puppy stolen in Cornwall release a new video in a bid to bring their pet home.

Waffle was snatched in St Austell just before Christmas, apparently at knifepoint.

Appeals to find the six-month-old Labradoodle have had thousands of shares.

Posting on the Bring Waffle Home Facebook page, Ayesha Louise said her mum and owner, Catherine Hussain, is absolutely devastated.

"Our waffle is still gone...

"PLEASE, PLEASE who ever has him - don't make us go into the new year without our precious boy!

"We had his and our first Christmas separated - please don't do the same for the new year!!

"Waffle we love and miss you so much - we won't stop till we get you HOME".

Sadly, the family were forced to spend Christmas and New Year without Waffle and are still desperate for clues.

Police have been checking local CCTV and making enquiries into the theft of Waffle.

"The family of Waffle are very distraught and upset at the callous theft of their pet dog.

"Myself and all of the officers at the police station dealing with this crime also feel very sad for the family over what is a cruel and mean-spirited crime, especially during the Christmas period.

"I am sure that someone, somewhere knows of a friend, relative or neighbour that has suddenly come into possession of a dog that may be Waffle.

"Please contact us if you have any suspicions, as Waffle should be with his real family this Christmas".

Police Sergeant Steve White
