A 23-year-old from Cornwall is joining the new series of Love Island.

In his bio, Ollie Williams describes himself as heir to the Lanhydrock estate near Bodmin.

He says his best chat up line is "Do you know Polzeath beach in Cornwall? I own it."

The new series, which is the first winter edition, kicks off on Sunday 12th January at 9pm on ITV2.

It is set in South Africa and a line-up of singles are heading into the brand new luxury villa in Cape Town, with the aim of winning £50,000 prize money.

Laura Whitmore will present the main show, taking over rom Caroline Flack after she stepped down following that assault charge.

What does Ollie Williams have to say?

What makes you the perfect Love Islander?

"I’m an alpha male. Wherever I go, I boss the room, I boss whatever I’m doing. I’ll be the butt of all jokes but I’ll also be the one to make all of the jokes. I'm attention seeking and I like to be the centre of what is going on at the time. I wear my emotions on my sleeve, I’m upfront and let people know what I think of them too."

How would you rate your looks on a scale of 1 to 10 and what would you say is your best feature?

"I’m probably a 10. I think my best feature is my body, closely followed by my wit."

What’s been your most disastrous date/dating experience?

"The only Tinder date I ever went on was awful. I matched with this girl, she was a 10 out of 10. I arrived at the location we had agreed to meet and messaged her to let her know I was there. A 50-year-old bloke gets up from the bus stop and walks over to the driver’s door of my car. He said, ‘Is it Ollie? My name is Christina, I know I’m not what you were expecting but do you still fancy going for that drink?’ I reported it to Tinder!"

Describe the ideal first date?

"My ideal first date would be a restaurant in Cornwall on the coast where you can overlook the sunset and have a 12 course taster menu with wines. That’s always a great first date. It could be awkward with 12 courses to go if you didn’t like each other… But it’s a beautiful date."

What’s the best or worst chat up line that someone has used on you, or you have used yourself?

"Best chat up line I’ve ever used is, ‘Do you know Polzeath beach in Cornwall? I own it.’ That’s it. Chat up line, done."

What’s your claim to fame?

"My father is Lord of the Manor of Lanhydrock. The family title is Viscount Clifden. When my father passes away or abdicates, as the eldest child, I will take on the titles and the estate. I’m the heir of Lanhydrock."
