Spate of criminal damage near Truro sparks appeal

Broken glass, razor blades and sparklers have reportedly been left littered around a playing field near Truro.

Police have issued an appeal after a spate of criminal damage in Threemilestone.

Officers say that fencing, picnic tables and play equipment have also been damaged.

Kenwyn Parish Council is installing CCTV at the playing field are people are urged to be vigilant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

"Police are appealing for information in relation to a series of incidents involving criminal damage in Truro.

"This has taken place at the Threemilestone playing field.

"Fencing and picnic tables have been damaged and the recent newly installed play equipment has had bolts and fixings loosened. 

"This may have required specialist knowledge, including tools to be brought to the location in order to do so.
"There have also been items left at the location such as broken glass (from bottles), and on other occasions razor blades, and even sparklers left sticking out of the ground.
"Kenwyn Parish Council are in the process of installing CCTV at the location."

People are asked to be aware of the issues and to call police on 999 or 101 as appropriate should they see anything suspicious or a crime in progress.
If anyone has information in relation to any of the damage caused, they can contact police via 101 quoting crime reference CR/000558/20.
