Three vehicles crash on main road to Falmouth

Three vehicles have crashed between Redruth and Falmouth.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at Ponsanooth on Monday afternoon.

Two cars and a van were involved in the collision on the A393.

Officers have confirmed that only minor injuries were suffered and the road has now been cleared.

"Police and ambulance were called at around 2.30pm with reports of a three-vehicle collision - involving two cars and a van - on the A393 at Ponsanooth. 

"Minor injuries. The road was clear by 4.55pm."

Traffic is now easing in the area.

"A393 in both directions re-opened, traffic easing, accident cleared from Speech Lane (Ponsanooth) to A39 (Treluswell Roundabout, Penryn).

"Affecting traffic between Penryn and Redruth."
