Love Island: Over 200 complaints on Cornish contestant

Love Island has received more than 200 complaints about that contestant from Cornwall.

It follows claims Ollie Williams is involved in "trophy hunting".

Ofcom says 231 complaints have been lodged against the 23-year-old.

It is after photos of him surfaced online, apparently posing alongside dead animals.

Companies House lists Williams as sole director of a "personal shooting" business, which refers to its activities as "hunting" and "trapping".

On Monday, Pirate FM told you how more than 16,000 people had signed a petition calling to remove Ollie: Read more.

It reads: "He has proudly posed with an array of dead endangered animals including warthog and water buffalos among other animals he killed in Africa in order to promote his hunting business".

The petition goes on to describe the photos as "disgusting", adding he should not be allowed to take part or compete in the Love Island series or allowed on a "such a public platform".

You can read the petition in full here.

Pirate FM has contacted Love Island representatives for a statement

The new series, which is the first winter edition, has now started on ITV2.
