Man in court after 'incident' on Cornwall's A30

A man has appeared in court after a so-called 'incident' on a stretch of Cornwall's A30.

Police were called to reports of a man scaling a pylon at Crowlas.

The road, between St Erth and Penzance, was closed for over 12 hours on Tuesday.

Officers say a 35-year-old local man was charged with causing a public nuisance

"A 35-year-old man from Penzance, has been charged with cause a public nuisance.

"He will appear before Bodmin Magistrates' Court this morning, Wednesday 15th January."

Devon and Cornwall Police 

He appeared before Bodmin Magistrates on Wednesday morning.

He was handed a suspended sentence order, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122 and also £85 in costs.
