The family of a dog apparently stolen at knifepoint in Cornwall have released a new appeal poster, four weeks on.

Waffle the Labradoodle was snatched ahead of his morning walk in St Austell just before Christmas.

His owners say police have been inundated with calls and possible sightings.

Social media appeals to find the six-month-old puppy have had thousands of shares.

Posting on the special Facebook group, Bring Waffle Home, Ayesha Louise believes someone must know something.

"I have spoken with the officer in charge tonight, they have been inundated with calls and emails of possible sighting and things, they are working through them all to see if one could be a possible lead.

"I just want to thank everyone for calling and or emailing possible sightings.

"It's over-whelming for my family and I how many people are looking for our precious boy, so a huge THANK YOU to you all.

"The police are still looking through CCTV, but have reassured us they aren't giving up; Waffle is out there somewhere and we need to find him.

"The police have been amazing with all they are doing and please if you see anything or hear anything to do with our waffle please please ring or email 101; we just want our boy home.

"PLEASE KEEP THE PRESSURE ON THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN WAFFLE AND WHO HAVE HIM NOW - they have to let him go soon so he can be home where he belongs.

"Thank you once again for all your love and support, it truly means the world to me mam, family and I".

Ayesha Louise
