Vehicle gets stuck in ford in Newquay

A multi-agency rescue is launched after a vehicle got stuck in a ford in Cornwall.

It happened in the Newquay area on Sunday morning with firefighters, police and paramedics being called to the scene.

A specialist water rescue unit was also drafted in after the vehicle got trapped in fast flowing water.

The air ambulance was called too but luckily no one was injured.

"Multi agent shout earlier this morning involving 51P1, 51P5 and specialist water rescue units, plus Newquay Ambulance Station and Newquay Police.
 
"A vehicle had got trapped in fast flowing water, great response from 1st truck, made a great stop and everyone safe and well."
