Flash flooding on stretch of A30 in Cornwall

Flash flooding has been reported on a busy stretch of Cornwall's A30.

The standing water has been causing problems at Chybucca, near the turning for Shortlanesend.

Highways England says contractors were called out first thing on Monday morning.

"A30 west of Chybucca. Please be aware of flooding on the road in this area. 

"We are sending out contractors to deal. 

"Further updates to follow".

Inrix Traffic and Travel is also reporting heavy traffic in the area of Chiverton Cross roundabout.
