Desperate appeal after cat found in back of truck

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 3:07pm 31st January 2020. (Updated at 3:10pm 31st January 2020)

A desperate appeal is going out to Cornwall to try and find the owner of a cat that was found in the back of a truck.

The vehicle had travelled from the Camborne and Bodmin areas all the way to Exeter.

The tabby was found two weeks ago covered in oil, very thin and in a poor condition.

The moggie, who is neutered and has a white bib as well as two long white socks, is being cared for at the Cats Protection Exeter Axhayes Adoption Centre.

He doesn't have a microchip or collar and the rescue centre is trying to find his owner.

This tabby cat has been found in the back of a truck which travelled from the Camborne and Bodmin areas to Exeter. A desperate appeal has now gone out to try and find his owner.

"He is doing well and gaining weight from all the regular meals he enjoys.

"He’s still having frequent washes with the CCA’s to remove the rest of the oil and dirt in his coat. His small wounds are healing slowly.

"He loves all the fuss and TLC he's been getting and is very popular among the staff as he’s such a sweet cat.

"He's a neutered tabby male. He is white on the lower half of his face, chin and bib.

"His feet which looked tabby are now white and he has white long socks on his back.

"The vehicle he was found in had travelled from Camborne to Bodmin, Cornwall to Exeter, Devon - quite a distance. He has no microchip and no collar."
