Police called to incident outside a school in Bodmin

Police have been called to reports of a man sniffing gas in a vehicle outside a Cornish school.

They were scrambled to the scene near Beacon Academy in Bodmin on Monday.

They say the car was secured and one person has been accompanied to hospital.

Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed they are making enquiries with the school.

"Police were called to Robartes Road, outside Beacon Academy, at around 8.30am this morning with reports of a man in a vehicle sniffing gas from a canister. 

"He has been accompanied to hospital. 

"Police have made the car secure and are making enquiries with the school".
