Four blind cats looking for forever homes in Cornwall

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 2:30pm 3rd February 2020.

Four blind cats are currently looking for their forever home in Cornwall.

The moggies were rescued from Thailand and brought back to the Duchy.

All four were born with a condition that means they have very small and underdeveloped eyes. They all have little to no sight at all.

Now Sally's Cat Rescue, based in St Austell, is looking to re-home the cats in pairs.

They will need very special homes because of their specific needs - and they will need to be indoor cats.

Four blind cats - who were rescued from Thailand - are looking for a forever home in Cornwall

"A couple of weeks ago we welcomed four blind cats into the rescue from Thailand.

"A lady from Cornwall had set up a rescue in Thailand. Upon returning home, after living there for some time, she couldn't leave these cats behind so she contacted us for help and she paid for them to come over to the UK.

"They were born with a condition which means they have small underdeveloped eyes. They have little or no sight between them.

"We are looking to rehome them in pairs and to very special homes.

"They will need to be indoors but we would much prefer an enclosed garden, rural home or catio.

"They will need a very quiet home with room to move about as they are young and active, and a home where furniture isn't moved as they will become confused and upset.

"Sorry for all the restrictions but their new new home has to be very specific due to their needs.

"Please contact the rescue if you are interested and fit all the above criteria."
