Urgent 999 appeal to find woman missing in Cornwall

An urgent appeal has been issued to find a woman, missing in north Cornwall.

Police say fears are growing for the safety of Lisa Goodman.

The 48-year-old was last seen between Newquay and Tintagel on Monday afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police are urging any potential witnesses to call 999 straight away.

"Police in north Cornwall have growing concerns for the safety of Lisa Goodman. 

"It is believed that Lisa was in the area between Newquay and Tintagel at around 2pm on the afternoon of Monday 3rd February 2020. 

"Lisa is a 48-year-old female, approx. 5'5' in height, of medium build with very long brown hair".

Newquay Lifeboat was drafted in to search an area near Watergate Bay, but say no casualty was found.

"Newquay's volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew were paged at 4.05pm on Monday afternoon (3rd February) to reports of a missing woman in the Watergate Bay area.

"The charity's D Class and Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboats were launched to assist Newquay Coastguard and Devon and Cornwall Police in searching the area in a fresh westerly breeze and two-metre swell.

"Following a search of the shore and coastal area by all agencies, no casualty was found and the lifeboat volunteers were stood down and returned to Newquay Harbour at 5.40pm".
