This was the scene when a wall collapsed and blocked a road in west Cornwall.

It happened between Gulval and Zennor on Monday night, leaving show rubble across the road.

The stretch of Gear Hill near the Trevaylor Manor was reportedly 'completely impassable' on Tuesday.

Cornwall Council confirmed that Cormac had attended the scene , closed the road, and put diversions in place.

"Gear Hill both ways blocked due to collapsed wall between Gear Lane (New Mill) and Polymennor road (Penzance).

"The wall is near Trevaylor Manor, affecting travel between Gulval and Zennor."
