More big music acts announced to play Cornwall

More big music acts have been announced to play Cornwall this summer.

The Duchy is already set to bask in a season of festivals and gigs.

Here are some of the concerts happening in Cornwall in 2020, following a few days of big announcements...

The Great Estate:

Now it has been revealed that Razorlight will headline the Saturday night slot as The Great Estate.

The garden festival is held at Scorrier House at the end of May.

"It's what you have all been waiting for, our Saturday night headline act is - RAZORLIGHT!

"With many massive tracks under their belt, such as In The Morning and America, Razorlight are sure to get you singing and dancing the night away."

Looe Live!

Meantime Reef have been announced as the first act to play Looe Live!.

The festival is set to return in 2020 on September 25-27th - for three days of live music and entertainment. 
Performing on the festival's mainstage, They are expected to play firm favourites from their back catalogue such as 'Place Your Hands', alongside tracks from their current album 'Revelation'. 

"The three-day festival offers the chance to hear some stellar music, fill up on local food and drink, dance on the sea front and also get stuck into a full programme of activities and workshops. 
"With multiple stages, including one on the beach - expect a range of musical genres, from jazz to funk, rock, blues and country and western."

Big Boardmasters announcements were also made on Tuesday.

Skepta, Kings of Leon and The 1975 will all be headlining the Newquay surfing and music festival this August, in its 40th year: Read More.

Last year's festival was cancelled because of severe gales.

"Boardmasters will continue its tremendous work to keep the festival and the Cornish coastline cleaner than ever before. 

"There will be beach cleans in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage throughout the year as well as during the festival. 

"The successful re-useable cup scheme will continue, along with a litter bond on all camping tickets to incentivise campers to pick up their litter and recycle, and much more in place to make Boardmasters as clean, environmentally-friendly and enjoyable as possible. 

"This is all part of the mission to have eradicated all non-essential single use plastics from Boardmasters by next Summer's festival."


Eden Sessions:

Meantime, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will be playing at the famous St Austell biomes in June: Read More.

It will be Noel's second appearance at the Eden Sessions, following a landmark show with Oasis in 2009. 

"Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds are a fantastic addition to our 2020 line-up. 

"We know our audience loves a rock 'n' roll band and it will be great to welcome Noel back to Eden after his show with Oasis, one that is still top of many people's lists of best Eden Sessions."
