Six men have been arrested following 'county lines' drug dealing raids across Cornwall.

Police carried out a series of search warrants at several residential addresses in the St Austell area.

Armed officers and dog units were drafted in along with around 20 to 30 officers.

The investigation was carried out as part of the force’s crackdown on county lines drug dealing.

A large quantity of suspected Class A drugs and cash were seized as part of the operation which took place in the St Austell area throughout the day on Tuesday 4th February.

A further two men were arrested in a vehicle in Devon.

The operation was led by Cornwall’s Proactive Disruption Team supported by the Force Support Group, the neighbourhood policing team, and specialist units.

"Yesterday’s operation was a successful part of our wider investigation into drug dealing in Cornwall.

"We would encourage members of the public to contact us if they witness suspicious activity or have information they think could assist our ongoing enquiries into County Lines drug dealing.

"Due to operational sensitivities we are unable to release any more details at this time."

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Found
