A Cornish pub has paid a heartfelt tribute to the young woman who died in a crash.

20-year-old Bethany Rowett lost her life when two cars collided near St Columb.

Now friends are raising money to support the family and help cover the funeral costs.

Beth worked at The Victoria Inn at Roche, where Steve Dawe is the general manager.

He has told Pirate FM the whole team feels like they have lost a member of the family.

"A very bubbly, very funny girl"

"You can never prepare yourself or expect anything like this to happen to someone you know.

"A member of staff - and like I say while she is a member of staff, we are like a family obviously working together so much.

"It was devastating for everybody.

"She has had many comments made about her laugh which the big thing that all the staff and locals have said they'll never forget.

"An inspiring character really - she had many different likes and interests and she was a very bubbly person".

Steve Dawe

Steve added that their thoughts are with all her friends and family and have pledged their support in any way that they can.

It comes as friends set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help give Beth the 'send off she deserves".
