Police have confirmed a man missing from the St Austell area has been found.

Officers launched an appeal to trace Christopher Maynard, amid concerns for his health and welfare.

They had asked anyone who saw the 33-year-old to call 999 straight away.

However Devon and Cornwall Police have since confirmed Christopher has now been located, following a neighbourhood alert.

They said: "He was located safe and well yesterday afternoon (Thursday)" and thanked the public for sharing the appeal.
