Appeal for dashcam footage after fatal Tavistock crash

A fatal crash in Tavistock sparks an appeal for dashcam footage.

An 80-year-old pedestrian from Callington lost his life after being caught in a collision with a car.

It happened on Plymouth Road on Saturday 18th January and emergency services rushed to the scene.

Now officers are trying to trace a man who identified himself as a medic and assisted the casualty.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is being urged to get in touch.

"Police are appealing for motorists who may have dashcam footage of a fatal collision in Tavistock to come forward.

"An 80-year-old man from Callington died following the incident which occurred at around 3.10pm on Saturday 18th January on Plymouth Road.

"Officers would particularly like to speak to the man who identified himself as a medic and assisted the casualty.

"A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of the collision."
