'Hazardous substance' incident at Treliske

Emergency services are responding to an incident involving a 'hazardous substance' at Treliske.

Police say that two men came into the hospital with suspected burns from a noxious substance on Thursday morning.

They are now currently working to ensure there is no wider impact to staff or patients at the Royal Cornwall.

Photos on social media show police and fire vehicles at the scene.

"Police are responding to an incident at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, involving the containment of a hazardous substance.

"At around 11.30am this morning two men came in with suspected burns from a noxious substance and emergency services are currently trying to ensure there is no wider impact to staff or patients."
