An urgent warning has been issued after multiple calls to cars stuck in flood waters in Cornwall and Devon.

Police and firefighters received five calls in just five minutes on Saturday, as Storm Dennis hit.

Officers say four of the drivers had moved cones out of the way to try to drive through.

In Cornwall, firefighters have tweeted about another incident involving a vehicle trapped near Liskeard.

Crews say the person had to be rescued after they drove into flood waters.

Emergency services have issued the following advice, with a raft of weather and flood warnings still in force.

A string of 'immediate action' flood warnings and flood alerts are out across the region.

Two weather warnings remain in force, for heavy rain until 9pm on Sunday and for gales until 11am on Monday.
