Photos seem to show the moment scaffolding came down in the centre of Looe.

The incident happened first thing on Sunday morning, closing a stretch of Fore Street.

A cordon was put up around the Co-op delivery truck, the side of which is damaged.

Pirate FM understands the road has since reopened.

"Scaffolding has been dislodged and is precariously leaning on a delivery lorry following a road traffic collision in Fore Street Looe.

"The scaffolding will need to be dismantled to make the area safe.

"Members of the public are asked to follow diversions and to allow more travel time as Fore Street is closed for the time being".

Devon and Cornwall Police

According to reports on traffic and travel service, Inrix, the vehicle collided with the scaffolding.

"Fore Street in both directions closed due to accident. A lorry involved between Shutta Road and A387 Station Road.

"Near Bradley estate agent, a lorry has hit the scaffolding".

Inrix later added: "Fore Street in both directions re-opened. Accident cleared between Shutta Road and A387 Station Road".
