Man found guilty after young girl's drugs' death

A man has found guilty of supplying the drugs that led to the death of his teenage cousin in Cornwall.

Shakira Pellow from Camborne collapsed in a park after taking MDMA.

The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital in July 2018, but later died.

Oakley Willoughby from Pengegon had denied possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

The 18-year-old was convicted after a trial at Truro Crown Court and is due to be sentenced on Tuesday.

A man has been found guilty of supplying drugs after the death of his 15-year-old cousin, Shakira Pellow, in Cornwall.

What happened to Shakira?

Shakira Pellow died on 7th July 2018, the morning after taking three pills containing MDMA.

The 15-year-old was rushed to hospital after collapsing in a local park in Camborne.

She suffered multiple cardiac arrests and organ failure and could not be saved.

Truro Crown Court heard that Oakley Willoughby had met a dealer to buy the drugs, before giving them to his cousin.

The 18-year-old is due to be sentenced on Tuesday, for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

18-year-old Joshua Ward from St Day had already admitted the same charge.

He is due to be sentenced on March 13th.
