A three-year-old girl has been caught in a collision with a car at a retail park in Cornwall.

The child suffered a suspected leg injury after it happened at Kinglsey Village in Fraddon.

An air ambulance, paramedics and police were all called to the scene on Friday afternoon.

The little girl was taken to hospital for further treatment.

"Police were called at 2.35pm to Kingsley Village, St Columb, on Thursday 20th February following reports of a collision involving a car and a child.

"The three-year-old girl was taken to hospital by the ambulance service with a suspected leg injury."

"We were called at 14:27 to reports of a road traffic incident. 

"We attended with an air ambulance, an ambulance, an operations officer and a rapid response vehicle. 

"One patient was taken to hospital for further treatment."
