Police have confirmed an elderly man missing in Cornwall has been found.

John Thurston left his home in Callington on Saturday morning in a white car.

The 72-year-old had not been seen since and fears were growing for his safety.

Devon and Cornwall Police had urged anyone who saw John to contact the force on either 999 or 101.

They have since confirmed that he was found safe and well over the weekend.
