Major traffic queues after tree falls on A38

Published by the Pirate FM News Team at 5:45pm 24th February 2020. (Updated at 8:48pm 24th February 2020)

A major Cornish road has been closed in both directions after a large tree fell across the carriageway.

Police say a van then crashed into it while travelling on the A38 near Doublebois.

Highways England confirmed it was affecting traffic between Liskeard and Bodmin and sparked long delays.

Diversions were put in place across rush-hour but the road has since reopened.
