'Drink-drive' arrest with 'a baby in the car'

Police say a man arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in Cornwall was twice over the legal limit.

Police Commander for Cornwall, Ian Drummond-Smith, tweeted about the arrest just before 12.30am on Sunday.

He added that the driver had a baby in the car!

"One in custody for drink drive. Double the limit and amazingly had his baby on board!

"First arrest of the year for me".

The incident is believed to have happened after a crash in Penryn in the early hours of Sunday morning.

As of Sunday morning, the driver was still being held in custody.
