Police name woman found dead in Camborne

Police have named the woman found dead at a house in Camborne.

Emergency services were called to concerns for a person's welfare on Monday.

47-year-old Beata Lis was discovered at the scene but, tragically, could not be saved.

Devon and Cornwall Police are currently treating Beata's death as unexplained.

A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and later released under investigation.

Officers are still urging anyone with information that could help the investigation to come forward.

"Police have today named a woman who died in Camborne on Monday 2nd March.

"Officers attended an address in Wesley Street at around 6.10am on Monday following reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.

"Sadly, 47-year-old Beata Lis, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained and her next of kin have been informed.

"A 47-year-old man from Camborne was arrested on suspicious of murder and later released under investigation pending further enquires.

"Beata’s family have asked for privacy whilst they come to terms with their tragic loss.

"Police enquires remain ongoing to understand the circumstances surrounding Beata’s death.

"Officers would like to speak to anyone with any information which may assist the investigation. We’re also keen to speak to anyone who knew Beata and any friends who had been in contact with her in the days prior to her death.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/018738/20".
