'Petrol over the road' after St Austell crash

Drivers are being told to avoid a road in St Austell after a crash caused petrol to spill out on to the road.

Police were called to the Trevanion Road area of the A390 at 3.30pm after reports of two vehicle collision between a car and minivan.

Officers say that the injuries appear to be minor, however an ambulance has been called. 

Devon and Cornwall Police say the incident is ongoing.

"Police called to Trevanion Road, St Austell, at 3.30pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision between a car and minivan.

"At this early stage injuries appear minor.

"The ambulance has been called.

"Reports of petrol over road and drivers should avoid the area".
