Drivers diverted in Sladesbridge after motorcycle crash

Drivers are being asked to find an alternative route after a motorcyclist crashed in Sladesbridge. 

Emergency services were called at around 2.30pm with reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike on the A389. 

Police said the rider suffered a hand injury which is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing and is being treated by the paramedics. 

The air ambulance has landed at the scene. 

The road was closed for a time but has now reopened. 

"Police and ambulance were called at around 2.30pm with reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorbike on the A389 at Sladesbridge. 

"The rider suffered a hand injury which is not currently believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. He is being treated by paramedics. 

"The air ambulance has also landed at the scene and the road remains closed at this time."

"Reports of slow traffic due to accident, a motorbike involved on A389 near Trelawney Garden Centre.

"Affecting traffic travelling between Wadebridge and Bodmin."
