Two teenage boys injured after 'altercation' in Saltash

Two teenage boys have been injured after an 'altercation involving a bladed weapon' in Saltash.

Police were called to Gilston Road on Friday evening, near the McDonalds, where a weapon was seized.

One 16-year-old suffered a cut to the hand and was taken to hospital. The other suffered a minor injury to his head.

Anyone who saw what happened at around 8pm is being urged to contact officers.

Three 17-year-old boys were arrested and released under investigation.

"Police are investigating reports of an altercation involving a bladed weapon which took place at 8pm on Friday 13th March outside McDonalds, Gilston Road, Saltash.

"A 16-year-old boy was assaulted and sustained a cut to the hand. He was taken by ambulance to Derriford hospital. Another 16-year-old boy was assaulted and sustained a minor injury to his head. 

"A bladed weapon was located and has been seized by police.

"Three 17-year-old boys were arrested in connection to the incident and later released under investigation pending further enquiries."
