Boardmasters has issued a statement as events across Cornwall are cancelled because of coronavirus.

Newquay's famous surf and music festival has confirmed that it is still hoping to go ahead this summer.

It is due to take place at Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay from the 5th to the 9th of August.

Bosses say they are following updates on government advice and are reassuring festival-goers that they will be refunded if anything changes.

Helston's Flora Day and Porthleven Food Festival are among the big events which have already been cancelled in the Duchy.

The Royal Cornwall Show has been postponed and will now take place in September instead.

Perranporth's Tunes in the Dunes says it is "highly likely" it will be postponed until later in the year as another event becomes a casualty of the coronavirus.
