Major one-day show cancelled in Cornwall

Another big event in the Cornish calendar has become the latest casualty of coronavirus. 

Organisers of the Stithans Show has said it has cancelled this years event. 

Known as Cornwall's biggest one-day agricultural show, it was due to take place on Monday 13th July. It will now take place on Monday 12th July 2021. 

It announced the statement on it's Instagram page

In a statement, it said

"It is with heavy hearts that, following the Government’s latest measures regarding Coronavirus, the Association has made the difficult decision to cancel Stithians Show on Monday 13th July 2020.

"We will be in contact with all of our stakeholders within the next 21 days to discuss the consequences of this decision and to arrange refunds where necessary.

"We are aware that many of you will be just as disappointed as we are and we hope you will support us in this decision.

"We are now looking forward to bringing you the best ever Stithians Show on Monday 12th July 2021 and hope to see you there!
