Firefighters from across the Duchy have battled a late-night gorse fire in north Cornwall.

Three separate blazes broke out at Rosenannon Downs just before midnight on Friday night.

Crews from Wadebridge, Padstow and St Columb were all called to the scene to battle the flames.

They used a hosereel and beaters to put the flames out.

"Firefighters from Wadebridge responded to a reported gorse fire at Rosenannon Downs last night.

"The crew were faced with three separate fire fronts at approximately 200 metres each being fanned by strong winds.

"Assistance was requested from Padstow Community Fire Station and St Columb Community Fire Station."
